Lightbulb Assignment

  1. I chose to add in the clown fish because I think they are goofy fish. I also changed the color of one of the original fish, because we have to, I also gave it a red tint, I did it on accident originally but I thought it looked cool so I kept it.

Photographing water

Photographing Water Group: Wilson Chu, Connor Watson Photograph a Water Droplet with Flash: Using the DSLR with the flash: fstop: _5.6_ Shutter speed: _________1/200s_____  Questions: 1. Was it easy to get a good shot? Why/why not? (2pts)  I mean, it was so so, the timing had to be good which was kinda hard.   2. What did you like/not like about shooting water with the flash? (2pts) I liked how much it lit up the photo, but it also hurt my eyes when taking it because of how many we were taking. Overall though I like flash.  Photograph a Colored Water Droplet without Flash using colored paper reflection Using the DSLR: _____5.6_______ Shutter sped: ____1/640s______  Questions: 1. Was it easy to get a good shot? Why/why not? (2pts) It was just as difficult as the rest, which wasn't very difficult. just time right and take loads of pictures and we were fine.   2. What did you like/not like about shooting water without the flash? (2pts) it wasn't very...

Frozen Motion

Before After Before After Before After My most successful is the one of me jumping off the crate I feel.  Least Successful is probably the birds, they were too far away and didn't have a good zoom Faster shutter-speed for the sand could've helped Ideal subject would be someone in the air, looking really cool, and a good background that doesn't mess with depth of field stuff. I think it would look cool.

Shorebreak: Movie Response

What did Clark do before photography? He worked in a botanical Garden What do you like about his work? I think the ocean is pretty cool, I think all the bright colors in his photography is cool. Same with just nature. Some of my favorite photography is action shots, and i think liquids can look pretty amazing sometimes.  What do you not like about his work? There is nothing I really hate about his work. I mean it all is good, I don't look at his pictures and think "wow this is awful"  What brand of camera does he use and how does he take it into the water? Nikon, he has a big container around it, almost like a submarine, it has a plastic case around it.  Is this a career that you would consider, why/why not? I mean, I would do it if I had nothing else, it seems pretty fun, It seems kinda dangerous, when your whole job is getting hit by waves, It seems like a cool job to have for like a week, but more than that I feel like I would be too tired.

Artificial Motion Blur

Image
Before: After: 1- I don't really think this image looks too real, I mean the effect is cool, and it emphasizes my brother.  2- I feel like finding a good image was hard, I don't have many pictures in motion, and if they are then the already have motion blur (cause of a low shutter speed).  Before: After: 1- I think this looks more real than the other one. the trees are pretty cool. 2- using the eraser was kinda hard with this one. you can see a small outline of where I screwed up with the eraser around the car.

Action Shots

+I think the amount of water is pretty cool, and shutter speed is mostly good. - After photoshop if you look very closely, there are weird colorful splotches all over the image. Probably could have photoshopped more carefully. + I think the big splash is good. - I think I could have gotten a better picture from the start, I was way to far to the right, and when I crop it, it loses the crispness.  +It is pretty cool to see where the water drops landed. - Photo is timed wrong, It should have had my shoes making the splash.
