Grand Landscape: A "Big View", they are picture of large and open expanses of nature. and showcase the Majestic natural world.  `  Detail Landscapes: Detail Landscapes are much closer than grand landscapes, and farther than abstract. They are a mid- range photograph.  Abstract: Abstract photos require you to use context clues to figure out what the photo is. it is really close up on the subject. 

Epic tips from Joe Cornish on Landscape Photography 1. Look around, decide which subjects your willing to sacrifice, and keep in, get a good angle. So basically scout out your picture spot, and figure out what the best angle would be.  2. Make sure you have good lighting. You don't want to be in direct sunlight, you need to watch out for the contrast in the picture spot.
