Principle of Design | Pattern and Rule of Thirds

                                                                            Pattern

A pattern is made by repetition of art. First photo the lines are constant and are facing two directions. In the second one, the diamonds are in the same order, same with the lines creating the diamonds. In the third, all the lines are straight and in a constant order, making a pattern.

                                                                    Rule of Thirds

Rule of Thirds is when a subject in one of the 4 corners on the grid. In the first photo the California high school flag is in the bottom right, right where (if you could see the grid) the bottom horizontal line and the right vertical line would meet. Same with the second photo, the trashcan is in the bottom left. IN the last photo, the tree is in the bottom left corner. Rule of thirds makes the subject be where it is the most pleasing to the human eye.
